Levee breach water volume

Hi Tygron,

I'm simulating a levee breach in a polder and I would like to know the amount of water that has flowed through the breach for each time-step and in total.

Does the Tygron Platform have a quick way to show this information?

Is there something like an OBJECT_FLOW_OUTPUT attribute linked to my breach or breach input area, like there is for inlets, pumps and culverts?

Thank you for your question.

You can find the amount of water that has flowed through the breach in the water balance (see pic below)

It is not possible to see the flow per time step.

May I ask why you would like to know this information?

May be we can help you to achieve your goal in a different kind of way.

Thank you for your response.

The approach you provided works when using an external breach input area. I'm using an internal waterbody as breach input area.

I would like to know the flow for each time-step so I can see the effect of breach growth and water level on the flow through the breach.

We have included this feature request in our new Idea Push.

The ability to know the amount of water that has flowed through the breach for each time-step and in total. Like an OBJECT_FLOW_OUTPUT attribute linked to the breach or breach input area, like there is for inlets, pumps and culverts.

This is something we would like to develop at one point in the future although we do not know exactly when this would be.

We will keep you updated about this and please take a look on our Idea Push to see what other ideas have been posted (and may be vote on one or more ideas you like).

And may be in the future post a new idea yourself. This is possible from now on for all our customers.
