Surface Duration Overlay

edited August 2018 in Water

    Hi Len,

Thank you for your post. Your question is about the Surface Duration Overlay and why it always shows one value. This overlay shows the amount of time the water depth in a cell exceeds a certain amount. You can set this amount with a threshold. For example, if you set the threshold to 0.2, then the overlay shows on which cells and for how long there is at least 20cm of water on these cells.
This threshold is set to 0 by default, therefore the time that the overlay shows on each cell is equal to the simulation time. You can set the threshold (named: SURFACE_DURATION_FLOOD_LEVEL_M) in the Attributes tab of the Rainfall Overlay or in Step 5 of the Rainfall Wizard.
