Current Situation and Planned

Hello,

What is the difference between switching between the "Today" (or current situation) and the "Model" (planned) version of the model. Is there a way to save or keep the work you do in the future design? Or do you have to start over each time you stop the simulation?

  • In the context of the Climategame, which is set up as a timeline project (meaning time progresses as the session is running), the today view is the state of the 3D world as it is at that point in time. Actions completed in the past are visible, and actions which have not yet taken place (planned or otherwise) are not visible in the 3D world. The model view shows the planned future, how the 3D world will be when all the actions which are planned have actually taken place.

To see the difference for yourself, plan a new building, or plan to demolish one, and plan it to take place somewhere in the future of the current time in the session. You will see the effects of the action only in the model view, while the today view only shohs the current state of the 3D world.

Sprawling spreadsheets so intricate Alexander the Great cuts them in half.

  • In addition, It is not possible to save the changes you have made during the your future design.

May I ask what it is you try to achieve? Maybe we can help you think of a solution :)
