"Too close to pole" error when importing GeoJSON file

Hey there,

Upon importing a GeoJSON file I get the following error: "Invalid: um:ogc:def:crs:OGC:1.3:CRS84 Coordinates: Latitude 462454.56.4 is too close to a pole".

Why does this error occur?
Does the area I am importing into have to be completely empty?
