Highlighting unbuilt area

edited June 2019 in Editor

Did you know it's fairly easy to create an overlay which highlights the places in the 3D world where no construction exists yet?

You can leverage the fact that all constructions have certain attributes defined:
1. In your project, create an attribute overlay.
2. Set the Type to BUILDINGS, and for the attribute select an attribute all constructions have. ROOF_COLOR will do nicely.
3. You will already notice that all the locations in your project which have constructions now light up in the default color of the overlay.
4. Change the color of the overlay to black, and set the background color to a light(ish) shade of green (or white, or any other color you prefer).
5. Your overlay now highlights (using the color set as background color) all locations which do not have a construction placed there!
